Have you got clothes needing repair? Maybe a button needs to be sewn back on, or you have a hole in a t-shirt that needs some love? We can help!

Share & Repair Cafe 630x380

The Share & Repair Café offers a FREE, friendly, and accessible clothing repair service on campus, available once a month during the Guild Markets.

How it works:

  • Pre-book your item by reserving a repair time via this event, or

  • Simply line up on the day with your item

  • To help as many people as possible, we kindly ask that you bring one simple item per visit — but you’re welcome to join the queue again for additional items!

Repairing clothes helps reduce waste and keeps your wardrobe going strong. Want to learn how it’s done? Sit with our volunteers and pick up a few mending tips while your item is being repaired!

We’re all about creating a welcoming, inclusive space where students and staff can come together to reduce waste, share skills, and build sustainable habits — all while having fun.

Want to volunteer?

No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm! Whether you're interested in customer service or sewing, we’d love your help.

Contact Linda Tammen at 19602703@student.murdoch.edu.au to get involved, ask questions, or chat about accessibility needs. We're here to help!

This initiative is part of the Murdoch University Students as Change Agents Program 2025, led by Linda Tammen, a second-year Community Development & Strategic Communication student.
Proudly supported by the SOS – Students Organising for Sustainability club.

Let’s repair, reconnect, and reduce waste — together!
