Join the Disability Support Body Peer Mentoring Pilot Program

Published: 8th August 2025

Are you passionate about inclusion and peer support? The Disability Support Body is launching a Peer Mentoring Pilot as part of the Students as Change Agents program — and we’d love for you to be involved.

Access & Inclusion 600x400

This project aims to build a supportive, connected community for students with disabilities at Murdoch. To do this, we're inviting:

  • Students with disabilities who would benefit from having a peer mentor, and

  • Students from any background who are keen to support their peers as mentors

No specialist experience is required — just your time, empathy, and enthusiasm. Mentors will receive brief training to help guide their mentees. Mentors and mentees will be matched and meet one-on-one over 5–7 weekly sessions, each lasting about an hour.

Interested? Please apply by 22 August.

[APPLY HERE]

Short, informal interviews (20–30 minutes) will be held from 25 August - 5 Septembre to help us get to know you better. You’ll also receive an info sheet and sample interview questions to help you prepare.

If you need more time or have questions, feel free to contact us at murdochdisabilitybody@gmail.com.

Let’s work together to foster inclusion and connection at Murdoch!
