About the film
The Comfort Dogs of Uganda follows Lucy, Francis and Jennifer as they navigate social stigma and severe post-traumatic stress. Alongside them are Sadik, Tommy and Ogen: rescued village dogs from The Comfort Dog Project (CDP) who are overcoming their own experiences of abandonment and mistreatment.
The film explores the unlikely and transformative bonds that develop between these fellow survivors as they learn to trust, love and reclaim their lives.

- Richard Wainwright – NGO photographer, filmmaker and director of The Comfort Dogs of Uganda
- Francis Okello Oloya – psychologist, war trauma survivor, and Manager of the Comfort Dog Project and Education Program at The BIG FIX Uganda
- Professor Simon Adams – Academic Chair for Human Rights at Murdoch University and former President and CEO of the Centre for Victims of Torture
