Valued at $16,000, the fellowship is designed to help you build your leadership skills, deepen your understanding of the Asia-Pacific region and connect with influential leaders and peers from across Australia and Southeast Asia.

Successful fellows will take part in:

• Two immersive residential programs across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam

• Leadership development workshops and cultural immersion experiences

• Access to the Westpac 100 Scholars Network (W100)

• The annual Westpac Scholars Summit in Sydney

• Travel, accommodation and most program participation costs covered as part of the fellowship

Up to 36 fellowships are awarded each year, and Murdoch University was proud to have two successful recipients in 2026.

Who can apply?

The fellowship is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents studying at participating Australian universities who have completed an eligible study abroad or exchange experience in the Asia-Pacific region. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply.
