  New Chancellor David Flanagan
  On behalf of the Murdoch University Senate I am pleased to announce that David Flanagan, Non Executive Chairman of mining company Atlas Iron, will be the new Chancellor of Murdoch University. Mr Flanagan will take the reins from Mr Terry Budge, who is retiring from the role of Chancellor after nearly seven years.

  Time to quit smoking? Fresh Air Zones are coming soon!
  From July 29 (the first day of Semester 2), Fresh Air Zones will come into effect across large parts of the South Street and Rockingham campuses. From this date, smoking will no longer be permitted in these areas.
