09 Apr 2013Welcome to the new Dean of Graduate StudiesIt gives me great pleasure to announce Professor Neal Enright has taken up the post of Dean of Graduate Studies for Murdoch University. Neal brings with him a wealth of experience as a researcher in Plant Ecology and a successful supervisor of more than 30 PhD and MPhil students. Neal has undertaken a number of senior academic roles here and at the University of Melbourne. 09 Apr 2013Mid Year Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) Scholarships now open.Murdoch has a number of APA Scholarships available to suitably qualified candidates for commencement of studies in Semester 2, 2013. The APA provides a stipend of $24,653 pa with supplementation to a total of $30,000 pa available in areas of strategic research strength. 09 Apr 2013Recycled Paper – Use Encouraged at Murdoch UniversityAll staff, Schools and Departments are encouraged to purchase and request the use of recycled paper for all University purposes. ‘Recycled Pure’ from Fuji Xerox, the University’s approved supplier, was determined as the paper of choice following rigorous performance testing and assessment against various environmental, social and economic sustainability criteria. The Academic Quality Audit Committee has released the draft policy for consultation with the university community. Feedback from individuals and groups is now sought. The consultation period closes on Tuesday 23rd April.
