One of the most effective ways to safeguard your health and wellbeing, and protect those around you, is to receive the annual influenza vaccination. Not only does it significantly reduce your risk of contracting the flu, but if you do contract the flu after being vaccinated, the illness is often less severe.

This year, the Department of Health recommends getting your influenza vaccination in May and June and the Murdoch University Medical Service is offering free flu vaccines to all students and staff.

  • South Street Campus - Flu clinics will run every Wednesday and Friday throughout MayBook online by selecting ‘Flu Vaccine Clinic’ or call (08) 9360 2293. Appointments will take place in the  Medical Centre and are for vaccines only.
  • Mandurah Campus - Free flu vaccines will be available on Friday 9 May during International Nurses Day event.

On the day of your appointment, please bring your Medicare card or overseas health insurance details, and wear clothing that allows easy access to your upper arm.

Clinic access with respiratory symptoms

To minimise the risk of transmission of respiratory illnesses to others, we ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms of respiratory illness such as fever, cough, sore throat, or runny nose that you please call Murdoch University Medical Service for advice before your appointment.
